The statistics offered by the chart above illustratethe changes in the number of the green area versus time in a city. It can be seen that the green area increased steadily from 2000 to 2015, starting from 10 km2 in 2000, undergoing 20 km2 in 2005 and 30 km2in 2010, and eventually ending up with 45 km2 in 2015.
What are the invisible reasons behind the phenomenon reflected by the chart? First and foremost, with the air pollution going from bad to worse, the environmental protection awareness of the citizens has been so greatly improved that they have become more actively involved in growing plants.What’s more, with the public’s purchasing power increasing, the residential community with a larger green area is of substantial attraction to them, which increases the green area in new communities.
