聽力原文
第一節(jié):聽小對(duì)話,從題中所給的A、B、C三個(gè)選項(xiàng)中選出最佳選項(xiàng),回答問題。
1. W: You look sad, Jack. What happened?
M: I was late for an important meeting this morning. I arrived at 11:00, but I was supposed to arrive half an hour earlier.
2. M: How was your life in France, Judy?
W: It was great! My host family were really nice! The grandma even tried to make some noodles for me on my birthday!
3. W: Let’s ask Jack for help.
M: It’s no use. He himself is too busy.
4. W: How many films will be shown this weekend?
M: Three. I think you will like the comedy. It will be on at 10 am and 5 pm. We can go to the theatre at 4:30 pm.
5. M: Kate, could you tell me something interesting about Colombia?
W: Well, if you are invited to a party at 6:30, you should arrive a little late.
M: I’m going to America to study English next month and stay with my host family for one year.
W: That’s wonderful.
M: But I’ve never traveled abroad. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do. Can you give me some advice?
W: Of course. In America, people should call first before going to visit someone. But in China, it doesn’t matter.
M: Really? I’ve never heard of that.
W: For another thing, we Chinese usually eat directly from the dish on the table. An American, however, only eats from his own plate.
M: Thanks for your advice.
聽下面一段較長(zhǎng)對(duì)話,回答第8-10三個(gè)小題。
M: Look, Linda. There are some dead fish in the river.
W: That’s terrible. The water may be polluted.
M: I think so. Let’s walk along the river and find out the reason.
W: Why not? Maybe we can do something to help.
M: Look! There’s something strange under the bridge. The water is black there.
W: Yes, and there’s a strange smell. Oh, the water is dirty. Where is the dirty water from?
M: I’ve no idea. But there are many companies nearby. Maybe someone poured the dirty water into the river last night.
W: I think so. That’s the reason why the fish were dead.
M: What can we do then?
W: Let me see. We can’t take the fish out of the water because it’s too dangerous. Let’s call the villagers nearby for help and we can also report this thing to the local government.
M: I agree.
第三節(jié):聽獨(dú)白,從題中所給的A、B、C三個(gè)選項(xiàng)中選出最佳選項(xiàng),回答問題。
(M) One day two years ago, my eight-year-old son Jim was playing near our store when he saw a dog. The dog was small and helpless, and it looked scared. Jim looked around and saw nobody following the dog. He thought the dog must be homeless. Jim told me about the poor dog. At last we kept it.
So our store became a new home for the dog named Jerry. Jerry was friendly. Every time there was a customer, he would go up and greet the customer.
Last week, I took many pictures and posted Jerry’s story on the Internet. It became international news. People all over the world love Jerry very much.
I’m so glad that my son met Jerry that day and we decided to keep it. So if you love dogs, you can keep a homeless dog, too.

I was once invited to a French friend’s home to have dinner. But what happened during the dinner made me embarrassed.
First, I put my bread on the plate, making my friend confused because in France, people are supposed to put the bread on the table. Second, I picked up the whole piece of bread and ate it. However, taking a bite of bread after cutting it into pieces is considered to be polite. Although I found all the food was delicious, I just ate a small amount of it because I thought it would be impolite to eat it up. On the contrary, it’s polite to finish what is on your plate.
To avoid such an embarrassing situation like mine, people should learn more about different table manners in the world.

As we all know, eating customs in China are different from those in the West.
First, Chinese people often use chopsticks while Western people usually have meals with knives and forks. Second, Chinese people like eating rice and fresh vegetables every day. These kinds of foods are very healthy. However, Westerners like eating fast food, such as hamburgers, chips, fried chicken and cheese. Third, Westerners prefer a quiet environment. They seldom talk with each other during a meal. But people usually like a warm and lively environment in China.
In a word, it’s necessary for you to know these different eating customs between China and Western countries.
